Basic Pool Opening Includes

  • Remove and fold the winter cover.
  • Lower applicable safety-cover anchors.
  • Reassemble and start pool equipment.
  • Basic equipment startup and operation check.
  • Minor vacuum-to-waste when pool and water conditions allow.
  • Startup chlorine and algaecide treatment.
Basic opening gets the pool started — it does not guarantee swim-ready water.

Water condition can vary significantly from pool to pool. Additional cleaning, balancing, chemicals or return visits may be needed.

  • Have the pool accessible and gates unlocked.
  • Have ladders, rails, plugs and pool-specific opening items accessible.
