Automatic Pool Covers
Add everyday convenience and a clean finished appearance with a Coverstar automatic pool cover designed into your new vinyl-liner or compatible fiberglass pool.
Our Standard Automatic Cover System
When we design an automatic cover into a new vinyl-liner or compatible fiberglass pool, we typically use a recessed Coverstar system for a clean, integrated installation.
Why Add an Automatic Pool Cover?
An automatic cover adds everyday convenience and protection while helping keep the pool cleaner when it is not being used.
Everyday Convenience
Open or close the pool quickly without handling a traditional cover by hand.
Helps Keep Debris Out
Covering the pool between uses helps reduce leaves, dirt and other debris entering the water.
Helps Retain Heat
A covered pool can reduce heat loss and evaporation when compared with leaving the water exposed.
Integrated Appearance
Designing the system into the original pool project allows the cover track and mechanism to blend cleanly into the finished pool.
Designed Into the Pool
The best time to plan an automatic cover is during the original pool design, when the track, coping and cover housing can all be coordinated together.
Recessed Track
The track is integrated below the deck and coping rather than mounted prominently on top of the finished pool deck.
Inclined Aluminum Coping
Inclined aluminum coping creates a finished pool edge while working with the recessed automatic-cover system.
Flat Aluminum Lid
The flat aluminum lid covers the recessed housing where the cover rolls up when the pool is open.
Automatic Covers for Vinyl & Fiberglass Pools
We can incorporate automatic covers into both types of inground pools, although the exact installation depends on the pool design.
Built Into the Original Pool
Vinyl-liner pools give us excellent flexibility to coordinate the wall system, liner receiver, coping and automatic-cover track during construction.
Compatible Fiberglass Designs
Many rectangular fiberglass pools are designed to accommodate automatic covers. We consider cover compatibility when helping you select the pool shell.
Plan the Cover With the Pool
An automatic cover is easiest to integrate when it is considered from the beginning of the pool project.
Choose the Pool
We confirm the pool design is appropriate for the automatic-cover system.
Plan the Track
The recessed track and encapsulation are coordinated with the pool structure.
Coordinate Coping
The coping and deck edge are designed around the automatic-cover track.
Install & Finish
The mechanism, fabric, lid and controls are installed as part of the finished pool project.
Can an Automatic Cover Be Added Later?
In some situations, yes. Coverstar offers other track and recessed-track configurations for existing pools, freeform pools and pools with features that prevent a standard under-track installation. Existing-pool projects need to be evaluated individually.
